L D Harrow - Day 10, Friday - Flight!
26 August 1763 — In the darkness of the night rocks began to rain down upon us from the cliff above. We scrambled away from the edge, seeking the shelter of the small trees, and very soon the stones stopped.

But then the inhuman sounds began again. They sounded at first like they were coming from above, then trailed off to the distance, back where we came from.

Sensing that we were in imminent danger, Sterling insisted that we gather our things and flee. We have been stumbling in the dark now for some time... perhaps hours.

The sun has risen, and the baying behind us has stopped for the day. The ground beneath us is mostly rock now, and the stream is reduced to a trickle of water. We are getting as much water as we can. I fear the stream will be subterranean ahead...
